ASPC/AMHR
Shetland/Miniature Horses
ASPC/AMHR horses are horses that hold
both AMHR Miniature Horse papers and
ASPC Shetland Pony Papers. In general
these ponies measure 38" and under.

They can be shown as a Miniature Horse
or a Shetland Pony but cannot show in
both at one show.  Most people feel it is
better to show these horses either
Miniature Horse or Shetland Pony all  year
as opposed to showing both.

Many people do not realize that certain
Pony breeders have been breeding small
Shetland ponies for years. You will even
find triple registered ponies that are
AMHA/AMHR/ASPC.  The triple registered
ponies must measure 34" or under.

For now most of these ASPC/AMHR horses
are classic and/or Foundation ponies.  But
there are breeders now breeding for a
smaller Modern Pleasure pony.

For most people these ponies are the best
of the Miniature Horse and Shetland Pony
world!
